Here you can find out information about the Year 5 residential to the Whitehall Centre in Buxton, Derbyshire.
The weekend is designed to provide children with a taste of a wide variety of adventure activities in the hope of arousing new interests, as well as introducing them to open country pursuits.
What Activities will you get up to?
Activities include climbing/abseiling, canoeing, caving, stream scrambling, zip-line/adventure play, orienteering and various team problem-solving exercises (such as shelter building and night line walking). It encourages youngsters to become more independent and self-reliant, as well as working co-operatively and safely within a group.
All activities are supervised by experienced and trained instructors, holding nationally recognised qualifications.
When is the next visit?
Our next visit is 28-30th March. Deposit letters were sent out in September (please see Mr Backhouse/The Office if you require another).
Try to get them back ASAP to secure your child's place as numbers are limited.
If you are interested in this truely amazing experience please return your deposit letter as soon as possible as there are a limited number of places. Therefore, it is a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. If you have any queries please see Mr Backhouse.
